An ethnic nose surgery is a unique cosmetic procedure that is usually done on an individual of a particular ethnic descent, for example, an African American nose job. This kind of nose surgery is quite different from the more widely available commonrhinoplastic surgeries, such as a nose job known as a glaucoma nose. This procedure can only be legally performed by a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in ethnic nose surgery. Even then, there is very little clinical evidence of increased patient satisfaction with the results of this kind of surgery.
It takes some years for an ethnic nose surgery patient to fully recuperate from their surgical procedures. During this time, their face begins to break down and develops various unsightly scarring patterns. The patient also faces an increased risk of developing infections and even cancer of the nasal passages or throat due to their weakened immune system. A Dr. learns a lot about his patients while he performs these surgical procedures. His training includes everything from endodontics (to correct crooked teeth) to phonics (for those who have trouble reading lips).
